THE EXHIBITION OF ARTWORKS BY ANJINESE & J. PAUL WRIGHT

05.06.2023 – 30.06.2023

Anjinese & J. Paul Wright are taking over Tea Amantes Gallery in their first ever exhibition!!!

These extraordinary local artists strongly support each other in both artistic and private life, creating a successful marriage from many years.

Surely they can be an inspiration for many of us.

Anji was brought up by her grandparents In Gloucester, England in the 70s and 80s. She suffered many hardships living below the poverty line in a home where she suffered many unspeakable trials.

Anji met and married her husband in her early 30s and adopted their beautiful son. Anji suffered mental health problems, hitting rock bottom many times but the last time with the love and support of her husband and son and looking within, she had the most amazing awakening and transformation.

She is now in a place where she feels blessed. She talks of how her experiences earlier in life have allowed her to dig deep and learn how to truly love herself, everything in her life and those around her.

She describes how her ever present creative streak has allowed her to have an outlet for her frustrations and joys. She now feels the connection between her mind, body and emotion is allowing her to produce artwork that contains the essence of that little girl striving to do everything to perfection and expressing a piece of her soul to create something beautiful. A passion of hers is portraits that capture the essence of the personality in that portrait.

Anji’s artwork is made from small British decimal half pence coins, individually coloured and coated in resin. When the artwork is viewed at a distance, your eyes are able to reconfigure each of these individually coloured coins and the greater the distance that the picture is viewed from, the more seamless the picture.

Paul Wright uses the medium of crystals and semi-precious stones to produce outstanding pictures/portraits and abstract images. His work will be shown for the first time in Blackpool at Tea Amantes.

The exhibition will showcase a collection of six new and recent works by Paul, exploring themes of nature, environmental impact, pets, the abstract and landscapes. The exhibition will feature the first produced works by Paul Wright (also known as Crystal Art Wright) of his Crystal Tree.

Paul Wright said: “We are delighted to be showing our work at Tea Amantes Tearoom & Gallery and to have the opportunity to share our latest creations with art enthusiasts in the North West in particular. Our art is a reflection of our previous and ongoing current artistic explorations and we are excited to see how viewers will interpret and connect with our work.”.
